Ekaterina Bivol will be tried in Russia for insulting Kyrgyz and Kazakhs

A court proceeding has been initiated against a Russian woman in St. Petersburg


Ekaterina Bivol, who is the ex-wife of the famous boxer and native of Tokmak, Dmitry Bivol, will stand trial in Russia. She is accused of making offensive remarks about Kyrgyz and Kazakhs, according to a statement from the press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.

A case of administrative offense has been registered in the Lenin District Court, where Ekaterina Bivol is charged under Article 20.3.1 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation. This article concerns "inciting hatred or hostility, as well as degrading human dignity."

The case against Bivol was initiated after a video appeared on a Telegram channel, in which she made sharp and rude comments about Kyrgyz and Kazakhs.

The court hearing is scheduled for January 29, 2026. Ekaterina Bivol may face a fine of up to 20,000 rubles, mandatory community service, or even administrative arrest.

It is worth noting that criminal cases have been initiated against Ekaterina Bivol in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, and she has been placed on a wanted list. She previously stated that she does not fear the consequences, as she is a citizen of Russia and has not been contacted by any law enforcement agencies.
