During the discussion of the Bishkek master plan project until 2050, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh discussed important aspects of the city's future. Dastan Bekeshev, a member of parliament, shared his thoughts on this in his Telegram channel.

In his opinion, the changes proposed by the developers in public transport do not require significant alterations, such as the construction of a metro, which he believes is too costly. As for alternative modes of transport, such as scooters and bicycles, there is currently no clear answer regarding their future, and this topic may be addressed during the detailed planning stage.

Bekeshev particularly highlighted the issue of greening the capital, noting that the southern part of the city is actively being developed, and available plots are becoming increasingly scarce. The vice-mayor promised that this issue would be studied; however, the developer of the master plan pointed out the need for zoning and the search for available land. "I don't think we will be able to solve the greening problem of Bishkek in 25 years," the deputy emphasized.
Speaking about smog, the deputy noted that the developers took the "wind rose" into account, but he has doubts about the practical application of this approach.
We remind you that the public hearings on the capital's master plan project until 2050 concluded the day before in Bishkek. Over the course of two days, city representatives and developers from the St. Petersburg Scientific Research Institute of Prospective Urban Planning presented their work and answered questions from interested citizens.
