Irina Grishechkina, Deputy Director for Project Issues at the Research Institute of Industrial and Civil Engineering (NIIPG), confirmed that an industrial park covering 300 hectares is planned to be created in the northern part of the city, near the "Manas" airport, which will be connected to the railway.
However, as she noted, the possibility of connecting the industrial zone located in the western part of the capital to the railway network is not provided. Grishechkina explained that the railway is part of the state infrastructure and requires the completion of complex coordination procedures.
Rakhат Junushbaeva emphasized that without railway communication, the development of industrial zones will become difficult. She also inquired whether there are plans to move the existing railway outside the city, to which NIIPG responded negatively.
