The chief architect of the Bishkek general plan project, Irina Grishechkina, at an extraordinary meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee on December 26, pointed out that there is not a single school in the capital that operates in accordance with the norms in one shift.

“In educational institutions, children study in 3-4 shifts. The schools marked with red circles operate in 6 shifts,” she emphasized, adding that the problem is known and municipal authorities are working on its resolution.

Irina Grishechkina also holds the position of deputy director at the Research Institute of Prospective Urban Development in St. Petersburg, which is actively involved in the development of a new general plan for the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
