Officers of the SBNON of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Sentenced to 13 Years in Prison

According to information provided by the editorial office of Kaktus.media, two operatives of the SBON (Drug Control Service) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan were sentenced to 13 years in prison. This decision was made by the court of the Pervomaisky District of Bishkek.

On December 4 of this year, the judge found N. V. I. not guilty on one count related to part 3 of Article 282 "Illegal production of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs for the purpose of large-scale sale" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, as there was no crime in his actions.

However, on other counts of this article related to "Theft or extortion of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances" and "Abuse of official position," N. V. I. was found guilty and received a sentence of 13 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. He was also deprived of the right to hold positions in law enforcement agencies for three years.

The second policeman, J. A. J., was acquitted under the article "Illegal production of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs for the purpose of large-scale sale" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, as there was no crime. Nevertheless, he was also sentenced to 13 years in prison with confiscation of property and deprived of the opportunity to hold positions in law enforcement agencies for three years under the articles "Theft or extortion of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances" and "Illegal production of narcotic drugs."

It is worth reminding that both policemen were detained in May 2025 by the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on suspicion of tampering with evidence.
