
In Korea, over 1,500 Kyrgyz citizens are working under the EPS program.
According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, in 2025, 4,315 citizens of Kyrgyzstan sought assistance for employment in the Republic of Korea through the EPS program.
Employment is carried out based on a memorandum with the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea. This program has been functioning since 2007 and is updated every two years.
In 2025, two stages of testing for knowledge of the Korean language were conducted for those wishing to participate in the program. Out of 1,350 participants, 339 candidates successfully passed the exam.
Based on the selection results, labor contracts were signed with 225 participants, and 232 citizens of Kyrgyzstan went to work in Korea, among whom were 30 women.
The majority of them found jobs in industries such as food, chemical, and paper production, as well as in factories producing plastic, rubber, and glass products. The average salary is approximately 1,700 dollars.
Currently, more than 1,500 Kyrgyz citizens are working in the Republic of Korea under the EPS program.
