In the "Our People Abroad" section, we present 38-year-old Kyrgyzstani Jypar Asyranova, who currently lives and works in Incheon, South Korea.

Jypar, born on November 30, 1987, in Naryn, decided to change her life and moved to Korea after graduating from the "Finance and Credit" faculty at BGU.

“I moved here because I married a Korean. We met while I was working as a guide. After some time of dating, we decided to tie the knot. We had our first wedding in Kyrgyzstan and then celebrated the second one here in Korea, following local traditions,” Jypar shared.

Her husband, Kim Ilgon, and Jypar live separately from his parents. She noted that at first, the local cuisine seemed too sweet or spicy to her, but she has now gotten used to it.

Jypar also sought new opportunities and knowledge, so she got a job as a translator at a middle school, where she translates from Korean to Russian.

Jypar shares her impressions of the Korean education system: “Schools in Korea are divided into elementary, middle, and high schools. Teachers change jobs every five years, and homeroom teachers do so annually. Koreans are very hardworking and honest; people's attitudes towards you can vary—some show kindness, while others are indifferent.”

The climate in Korea is characterized by high humidity, and summers can be hot with frequent rains and strong winds in June. “The country's economy is largely based on technology and exports,” she added.

Jypar was surprised by the cleanliness and order in public places. “The subway and bus stops are always clean. I was especially struck by the availability of the internet everywhere. The difference between Korea and Kyrgyzstan is noticeable in the economy, career opportunities, education, and healthcare. Prices, of course, are higher here,” she noted.

Due to her work schedule, she does not manage to meet with other Kyrgyz people often. However, Jypar plans to share her experiences gained in Korea with her homeland, especially in the fields of education and organization of order.

Currently, Jypar and her husband are raising their eight-month-old son. “Family is my main support and source of inspiration,” she concluded.
