Turmush continues to introduce readers to Kyrgyzstani individuals who study, work, and live beyond their homeland. This time, we will tell you about Jumabekova Azhara Edilbekovna, who is currently undergoing vocational training in Germany.

Azhara was born on March 21, 2008, in Karakol and graduated from school No. 1, where she demonstrated independence and responsibility from an early age. Being the eldest in the family, she always took care of her sisters and helped her mother, which significantly shaped her personality. “I am the oldest child in the family, and I have two younger sisters. From a young age, I felt a sense of responsibility and often helped my mom and sisters,” she shares.

Since the first grade, Azhara studied in a class with an in-depth study of the German language, and her success is largely due to an excellent teacher who was able to lay a solid language foundation.

“In high school, I actively prepared for language exams, made presentations, and participated in various projects. At the beginning of the 11th grade, I took the German language exam while simultaneously preparing for the ORT. At that time, I didn’t know where I would continue my education — in Kyrgyzstan or abroad. Despite my doubts, I always believed that I could enroll outside the country,” she recounts.

Ultimately, her dream came true. “I enrolled in the Ausbildung program in Germany for the specialty ‘Konditorin’ and began my vocational training,” Azhara says.

Four months in Germany were not without difficulties. Azhara faced adapting to a new culture, language barriers, and complex bureaucracy. She now lives in the suburbs of Regensburg. “It’s very beautiful here: the architecture and nature are impressive, and the people are friendly. We also learned how to sort waste, which was new for us. Gradually, I am getting used to the new environment and feeling more confident,” she notes.

One of the most pleasant moments for Azhara has been the opportunity to travel. The developed transportation system allows for easy exploration of new cities. “I have already managed to visit several cities, and each trip left unforgettable impressions,” she shares.

Azhara continues her studies, adapts to her new life in Germany, and gathers practical experience. “I haven’t decided exactly what I want to do in the future, but I strive for new knowledge and skills to realize myself professionally,” she adds.
