The program, which has been in operation since 2007, was developed based on a memorandum with the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea and is extended every two years.
During the selection process for program participants, there were two stages of testing in the Korean language. Out of 1,350 people who took the exam, 339 candidates successfully passed it. As a result, 225 individuals signed employment contracts, and 232 Kyrgyz citizens, including 30 women, left for work in Korea.
Most of them are employed in the food, chemical, and paper industries, as well as in factories producing plastic, rubber, and glass products. The average salary level is $1,700.
