According to BBC information, 115 suspects linked to the "Islamic State" have been arrested in Turkey due to their possible involvement in planning attacks during Christmas and New Year.

The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office reported that law enforcement conducted operations in more than 120 locations throughout the city, resulting in the detention of most of the suspects. Preliminary data suggests that the alleged holiday attacks were primarily aimed at non-Muslims.

Out of 137 detained, only 115 were arrested. The connection of the detainees to the "Islamic State" was established based on intelligence information received.

Turkish authorities are actively conducting operations against members of ISIS, who are believed to be crossing the border from neighboring Syria, where jihadist groups are still active. Recently, it was reported that a suspected ISIS leader was detained at the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, who is alleged to have been preparing attacks both in the region and in Europe.
