The Minister noted that one of the priorities of state policy is to ensure fair and sustainable access to quality medications. This is directly linked to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the goal of "Good Health and Well-Being." During the discussion, special attention was given to issues of procurement transparency and measures to prevent corruption.
According to Dosmambetov, the state funds allocated for the purchase of medicines amount to significant sums, and the task is to use them rationally and transparently. He emphasized the need for systemic changes to eliminate unscrupulous practices and create honest interactions in the procurement sector.
Representatives of partner organizations confirmed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation, including support for the implementation of international standards in procurement, supply chain management, the application of digital solutions, pharmacovigilance, and the development of the institutional capacity of the healthcare system. Following the meeting, participants agreed to continue joint efforts to implement the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding, focusing on specific and measurable outcomes aimed at improving pharmaceutical safety and protecting patient interests.
