Construction of the Balykchy—Bokonbaev—Karakol Road: Officials from the Ministry of Transport Received Warnings, Including First Deputy Minister Soltobaev
On December 29, 2025, another operational meeting was held under the leadership of the Minister of Transport and Communications Abasattar Syrgabaev, as reported by the ministry's press service.
Department heads from the central office, as well as leaders of structural and territorial divisions of the agency, participated in the event.
During the meeting, reprimands were issued to several officials. In particular, reprimands were given to the First Deputy Minister Talantbek Soltobaev, the Director of the Department of Road Management Kamilzhan Abdykalykov, the Director of the state enterprise "Design and Survey Institute 'Kyrgyzdortransproject'" Talaybek Ashymbekov, as well as his deputy Kubanychbek Ormonov. This decision is related to the progress of the construction of the Balykchy—Bokonbaev—Karakoil road.
The minister noted that this project is under the personal control of the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Security Committee Kamchybek Tashiev. He instructed to expedite the work and pay special attention to quality in order to complete the project within the established deadlines.
In addition, Minister Syrgabaev raised the issue of the condition of roads during the winter period and the need for monitoring their state, urging leaders who are not fulfilling their duties to submit resignation letters.

He expressed dissatisfaction that the reconstruction of the 141-kilometer road, which began in 2021, has still not been completed.
On the same day, Tashiev ordered the detention of the founder of LLC "Kyrgyz Zhol Kurolysh" Mirlan Isagaliev for violating the deadlines for the construction of the Balykchy—Bokonbaev—Karakoil road, which has been ongoing for five years.
