Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, signed a decree that follows the execution of the verdict of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, issued on June 3, 2025. According to parts 1, 2, and 4 of Article 27 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On State Awards, Honorary Titles, and State Prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic," as well as Article 71 of the Constitution, the decree states the following provisions:
1. Almazbek Atambayev is stripped of the following state awards of the Kyrgyz Republic:
the highest degree of distinction "Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic";
the Order of "Manas" II degree;
the Order of "Danaker";
the medal "Dank".
2. The following are annulled:
the presidential decree "On Awarding the Medal 'Dank' to Atambayev A. Sh." dated April 22, 1999 No. 106;
the presidential decree "On Awarding the Order 'Danaker' to Atambayev A. Sh." dated November 27, 2007 No. 518;
the third paragraph of the presidential decree "On Awarding State Awards to State and Public Figures of the Republic" dated November 30, 2011 No. 311;
the presidential decree "On Conferring the Highest Degree of Distinction 'Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic' to Atambayev A. Sh." dated November 27, 2017 No. 1.
3. The State Judicial Executors Service under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic must, in accordance with the established procedure, seize the state awards and documents specified in paragraph 1 and transfer them to the fund of state awards.
