- On December 25, during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, parliamentarians reviewed and adopted the bills "On Amendments to the Law on the Budget of the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025 and the Planning Period of 2026–2027" and "On the Budget of the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2026 and the Planning Period of 2027–2028" in three readings.
Additionally, a report on the execution of the Social Fund's budget for 2024 was presented and approved.
The initiator of these bills was the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
During the discussion, the Chairman of the Social Fund, Bakhtiyar Aliyev, reported that the revised budget of the Social Fund for 2025 amounted to 129 billion 183 million 671 thousand soms, which is 7.3% of the gross domestic product.
As for the budget of the Social Fund for 2026, it is planned with revenues of 137 billion 691 million 504 thousand soms and expenditures of 137 billion 303 million soms.
