The former Prime Minister of Malaysia was sentenced to 15 years for abuse of power

Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah found Najib Razak guilty on four counts of embezzlement and 21 counts of money laundering, totaling over 544 million dollars.

This is already the second significant trial against the former Prime Minister on corruption charges: he was previously convicted in a similar case. The court noted that Razak was aware of all financial transactions, despite the defense's attempts to claim that the funds were "political donations" from Saudi Arabia.
