Trump stated that the US struck against the 'Islamic State' in Nigeria

President Trump noted that he had previously warned terrorists about the possible consequences if they did not stop the violence against Christians. "Tonight they faced a hellish price," he wrote on his social network Truth Social.

In his address, the president expressed confidence that under his leadership, the United States would not allow the spread of radical Islamic terrorism. Trump also wished everyone a Merry Christmas, adding that "dead terrorists" would multiply if attacks on Christians continued.

Exactly a month ago, Trump instructed the Pentagon to develop a strategy for action against Islamist groups in Nigeria. He emphasized that the US could enter the country "fully armed" to completely eliminate the Islamic terrorists responsible for the horrific crimes against Christians.

Religious conflicts in Nigeria between Muslims and Christians have a long history, dating back to the 1950s. The extremist group "Boko Haram" actively attacks Christian churches and police stations, seeking to establish an Islamic state in the northern part of the country.
