REI and Mineral Extraction Became Key Areas of FDI in Kyrgyzstan in the First Half of the Year

As of the end of the first half of 2025, Kyrgyzstan attracted $562 million in foreign direct investment (FDI). This was announced at a press conference in Bishkek held on December 29, 2025, where Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency, spoke.

He noted that compared to the first half of 2024, when the inflow of FDI amounted to $462 million, there is a significant growth of 21.7%.
Among the main countries investing in Kyrgyzstan, Sabirov highlighted China, Russia, and Turkey, as well as mentioning other states. According to him, a significant portion of the investments was directed towards areas such as renewable energy sources (RES) and the extraction of natural resources.
