4 schoolchildren won gold medals at the International German Mathematics Olympiad in Frankfurt

In this international competition, 110,000 children from grades 3-11 participated, representing over 2,000 schools in 120 countries.

Gold medals from Mongolia were awarded to Bilguun-Ochir Munkhzoloo and Torbold Buyanbat (both in 5th grade), as well as Gegeen Sod-Erdene (6th grade) and Tergel Chinbat (9th grade).


Torbold, one of the winners, studies at secondary school No. 112 in Ulaanbaatar, which specializes in natural sciences and Buddhist philosophy.

The International German Mathematical Olympiad, which started in the 2025-2026 academic year, is an important academic event organized by Main Team Organisation GmbH, founded in Germany in 2012 and known for its activities in the field of education. This competition provides talented students from around the world with a platform to showcase and develop their mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities.
