At the Winter Paralympic Games, which will start on March 6, 2026, in Milan and Cortina (Italy), three athletes from Mongolia have received the opportunity to participate in cross-country skiing competitions. This information was announced by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports.

Among the participants are GANBOLD Batmunkh and DASHDORJ Tsegmid, who will compete in the 10 km and 20 km distances, respectively. SELENGE Adiyaamunkh, in turn, will participate in the sitting category sprint. Ganbold, who has significant experience in the Winter Paralympic Games, will compete in these events, while Dashdorj will be competing for the second time.

Additionally, Selenge has become the first woman from Mongolia to qualify for the Paralympic Games. She achieved this success by winning a bronze medal at the Asian Cup in cross-country skiing held in Japan this year. The gold medal at that tournament was won by the Chinese skier Shang Yilin, while the silver went to the Japanese athlete Sato Nana.

Mongolia made its debut at the Winter Paralympic Games in 2006, represented by skier SUKHBATAAR Nyamaa. In 2026, the country will participate in these competitions for the sixth time.
