The information was provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Batken region.
According to their data, 29-year-old I. U. was detained while hunting with a smoothbore firearm model K-16, and he did not have the necessary permits.
The seized firearm was not registered in the state registry and was confiscated. It should be noted that the hunting season is currently closed.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 267 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning "illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition."
An investigation is underway.
