Azizai Aibashova creates ribbons for yurts.

She was born in 1980 and lives in the village of Korgon in the Leilek district of the Batken region. Since childhood, she has been passionate about the craft and weaving of ribbons for yurts.

In a conversation with a Turmush correspondent, Azizai noted that she has been engaged in this art for 4-5 years, although she received her first lessons at the age of 10, showing a child's curiosity. She has a secondary education and does not hold a higher diploma.

Azizai produces ribbons for yurts based on individual requests from artisans in the Issyk-Kul region. Prices depend on the size: a 10-centimeter ribbon costs 300 soms, and orders are divided into 25-meter segments. She completes one such segment in a week or 10 days.

Working from home, she combines weaving with household duties. Currently, she is assisted by 2-3 people to quickly handle incoming orders.

In addition to her craft, living in a rural area, Azizai also engages in animal husbandry and agriculture. She has almost no free time. If she manages to carve out a minute, she immediately sits down at the loom, as she does not like idleness. "In the future, I plan to develop this craft and export my products," she shares her dreams.
