At Issyk-Kul, drugs were found on three citizens, reported the regional police department.
According to their information, on November 23, 2025, a statement was received at the police department of the Issyk-Kul district. It indicates that on the same day at approximately 23:24, in one of the recreation areas located in the village of Bosteri on the shore of the lake, a citizen of Asian appearance is illegally storing and using narcotic substances.
The statement was registered in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Issyk-Kul District Police Department, after which a preliminary investigation was initiated.
As a result of the operational-search activities, a resident of the Issyk-Kul district, K.K., born in 2000, was detained as a suspect. During the search, a substance with a characteristic smell of wild-growing hemp was found and seized from him.
The found substance was sent for forensic chemical examination. According to its conclusion, it is a narcotic substance — cannabis concentrate (marijuana). The net weight of the substance was 270 grams.
Signs of a crime were identified in this case, as provided for in part 1 of Article 283 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. A criminal case was initiated.
“As part of the investigation, officers of the criminal investigation department of the Issyk-Kul district conducted lawful searches in the homes of several citizens in the villages of Baktyu-Dolonot, Korumdu, and Bosteri.
During the search in the home of citizen M.K., born in 1978, a brown substance with a characteristic smell of wild-growing hemp was found.
Also, during the search in the house and barn of citizen O.B., born in 1959, a green substance with a characteristic smell of cannabis was found, as well as three red-colored cartridges, which were seized as evidence.
In addition, citizen O.B. voluntarily surrendered three firearms of unknown make, 29 casings, and one bottle with bullets.
Separate materials have been allocated regarding the mentioned facts concerning citizens M.K., born in 1978, and O.B., born in 1959, which are registered in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Issyk-Kul district police department. A preliminary investigation is being conducted on them. A forensic chemical examination has been appointed for the seized substances,” the statement said.
