The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that on New Year's Eve, no serious crimes or offenses were registered in the country.
During the festive events, police officers ensured public order and safety. Enhanced control over law and order was organized in places where New Year celebrations took place, as well as in locations with large gatherings of people.
"Since December 29, employees of the internal affairs bodies and the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been serving in an enhanced mode. Round-the-clock police units and investigative-operational groups were working," the statement said.
