Employees of the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic have been performing their duties in an enhanced mode during the New Year holidays, and this state continues to this day.
According to the department's information, more than 3,000 serious violations of traffic rules were identified during patrols across the republic. In particular, 75 drivers were detained for operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol, and 336 motorists were caught speeding.
Additionally, 602 vehicles were placed in impound lots for serious violations. During the New Year period, 21 traffic accidents occurred in the country, most of which did not have severe consequences.
The Main Department for Road Traffic Safety emphasized that no disciplinary violations were recorded among the staff. The situation on the country's roads remains stable and is under the control of the leadership of the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety.
