In anticipation of the New Year holidays, the Department of Ground and Water Transport is taking measures to ensure the stable operation of intercity bus routes. This is related to the expected increase in passenger traffic, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.
According to the information from the department, a sufficient number of buses have been organized for this purpose, and control has been established over ticket sales to prevent unjustified price increases for travel. Regional offices have organized duty shifts at bus stations and are conducting constant monitoring of the situation.
Starting from December 22, 364 trips are planned from the Bishkek bus station towards the Issyk-Kul, Naryn, and Talas regions. Additionally, there are 101 buses on standby for extra trips. The reserve of buses will also be activated from January 8 to January 12, 2026.
All carriers and bus station administrations in the regions of the country have received warnings about the need to ensure uninterrupted transportation and to prevent unjustified fare increases. Compliance with these requirements is under constant control.
