The benefit will apply to urban public transport in Bishkek and Osh
Starting next year, retirees working in security agencies will be able to use municipal public transport for free. This draft resolution has been prepared by the Bishkek city administration and is currently under public discussion.
According to the draft, the right to the benefit will be granted to retirees from the following organizations:
— Ministry of Internal Affairs,
— State Service for Execution of Sentences,
— State Committee for National Security,
— Ministry of Defense,
— Ministry of Emergency Situations,
— Border Service of the State Committee for National Security,
— Prosecutor's Office,
— Special Communications Service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Men who have reached the age of 50 and women from the age of 45 will be eligible for free travel.
According to the draft, local authorities will fully compensate the costs of boarding fees from the republican budget.
At the moment, the document is under discussion, after which it will be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers and local councils for approval. If the resolution is adopted, retirees from security agencies will be able to take advantage of free travel as early as the beginning of the new year.
