The project for the implementation of cashless payments in public transport in Bishkek, called "Tulpar," is approaching the final stage of integration with Tashkent partners. This was announced by Bekzhan Akmatbekov, the director of operational activities for the project, at a press conference held today.
According to him, the complete integration is scheduled for 2026.
“As a result, users of the "Tulpar" cards will have the opportunity to pay for their trips on public transport in Tashkent, and residents of the city will be able to use their cards for travel in Bishkek,” noted Akmatbekov.
Furthermore, he added that the "Tulpar" project plans to expand its presence in Kyrgyzstan.
“At the moment, we are negotiating with several cities. If we manage to reach an agreement, the project may be launched next year in Balakchy, Naryn, and Kara-Balta,” concluded Bekzhan Akmatbekov.
