According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kyrgyzstan and Thailand are establishing a visa-free regime for diplomats. The agreement, signed on September 27, 2024, in New York, will come into effect on January 2, 2026.

This document simplifies the process of crossing borders for official representatives of both countries. With the introduction of new rules, which will take effect at the beginning of next year, diplomats will be able to move freely.

The visa-free regime implies a complete exemption from visas for entry, exit, and temporary stay. Holders of diplomatic and service passports will be able to stay in the partner country for 90 days within a 180-day period. This innovation is expected to strengthen political dialogue and simplify the organization of business trips for government officials.
