Tariff exemption for the import of electric vehicles in the Kyrgyz Republic will come into effect from 2026

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission adopted Decision No. 111 on December 5, 2025, regarding the provision of a tariff exemption for electric vehicles that will be imported into certain EAEU countries starting from January 22, 2026. According to this document, from the specified date, these vehicles will be exempt from customs duties.

From this moment, changes made to the Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activity (CN FEA) of the Eurasian Economic Union will also come into effect. These changes are related to the Decision of the EEC Council dated December 23, 2025, No. 110, and the Decision of the EEC Board dated September 23, 2025, No. 81.

This exemption is aimed at promoting the spread of environmentally friendly transport in the Union countries and supporting the electric vehicle market.
