According to Kazaryan, precious metals are in demand in various industries due to their unique physicochemical properties, while sources of primary raw materials are becoming increasingly limited.
Currently, the applicable import customs duty rates on waste and scrap of precious metals are 15% of their customs value.
This decision will come into effect 30 days after its official publication. Since June 2015 and until the end of December 2025, zero rates on the specified goods have already been in effect according to previous decisions of the EEC Board.
