The Cabinet extended the six-month ban on the export of timber and wood materials from the Kyrgyz Republic outside the EAEU.

- On December 24, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers issued Resolution No. 828, establishing a temporary ban on the export of timber and wood products from the Kyrgyz Republic beyond the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union for a period of six months.

This restriction applies to products identified by codes 4401, 4403, and 4407 of the EAEU Customs Code. However, exceptions are provided for humanitarian aid offered by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The resolution will come into effect 15 days after its official publication;

The export ban will take effect three days after the resolution comes into force.

Thus, the ban will effectively be in place 18 days after its official publication.

Note 

This ban is not the first: earlier, on May 28, the Cabinet also imposed similar restrictions on the export of timber and wood products beyond the EAEU, according to Resolution No. 283.
