According to the State Customs Service, the entry into force of the decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council dated December 5, 2025, No. 111 implies the cancellation of import duties on electric vehicles.
According to this decision, the benefits will apply to "pure electric vehicles" (code 8703 80 000 3 of the EAEU Customs Nomenclature) and "plug-in hybrids" (code 8703 80 000 5 of the EAEU Customs Nomenclature) that will be imported into Kyrgyzstan.
Also, starting from January 22, 2026, changes to the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Eurasian Economic Union regarding certain categories of vehicles will come into effect, based on the decision of the EEC Council dated December 23, 2025, No. 110, and the decision of the EEC Board dated September 23, 2025, No. 81.
It is important to note that tariff benefits and quotas for the import of electric vehicles will not take effect on January 1, 2026, but only on January 22, 2026.
The State Customs Service recommends that all participants in foreign economic activity take this information into account when planning the import of electric vehicles into the country.
