- From January 1, 2026, international freight transits on the territory of Hungary will be allowed exclusively on a specially designated transit road network. This information was provided by the Embassy of Hungary in the Kyrgyz Republic in an official notification sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

The document emphasizes that this measure is aimed at protecting the population, the environment, and the country's road infrastructure. Hungary's transport policy stipulates that freight transport is required to use highways and expressways and will only leave them in close proximity to the destination, via the shortest possible route. Therefore, on certain sections of lower-class roads, the movement of freight transport will be restricted.

Additionally, international freight transport heading to Hungary may face new restrictions. Information about the transit road network and transportation conditions will be available at the National Access Point (NAP), which is managed by the Hungarian company Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt. An interactive map will be provided for carriers, containing information about road signs and areas where the movement of freight vehicles is prohibited. The Embassy of Hungary has also requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan to assist in disseminating this information among interested government bodies and relevant agencies in the field of transport and communications.
