Traffic will be restricted on Aitmatov Avenue in Bishkek

Starting January 1, 2026, a section of Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue in Bishkek, stretching from Semetey Street to A. Tokombaev Street, is planned to be temporarily closed. This decision is related to the commencement of work on the construction of underground pedestrian crossings and bus stop complexes.

The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, has instructed the implementation of these restrictions. The work will begin considering the holiday weekends, which should help reduce the load on the capital's transport system.

During the construction work, traffic on the specified section will be restricted to ensure the safety of both residents and visitors to the city. Drivers are advised to plan alternative routes in advance and pay attention to temporary road signs and indicators.

The Bishkek City Hall urges residents and visitors to understand the temporary inconveniences caused by the construction work.
