In Kyrgyzstan, new rules for the admission of foreign students to medical universities are being discussed

In Kyrgyzstan, a public discussion has been initiated regarding a new draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers concerning changes to the rules governing higher professional education.
The main goal of this document is to improve the quality of training for medical specialists. It includes amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated September 27, 2024, No. 590.
According to the proposed changes, foreign citizens studying at foreign universities will be prohibited from transferring to medical programs in Kyrgyzstan. Foreign applicants will only be able to enroll in medical educational institutions from the first year in the relevant educational fields.

Furthermore, the draft contains a proposal to repeal the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated August 30, 2022, No. 476, which previously defined the conditions for transferring students from countries in a state of emergency to educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan.
