Gulya Kozhokulova: Students should be required to serve the state

The deputy expressed an initiative to involve budget-funded students in state service

The situation with the shortage of personnel in Kyrgyzstan requires a solution, and Deputy Gulya Kozhokulova proposed that graduates of higher educational institutions studying on a budget basis should be obligated to work for the state. She made this statement during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh.

Specifically, this concerns students receiving education funded by the state.

“There should be an obligation for those who complete their studies on a budget basis to serve the state. The state should sign contracts with them, as was practiced in Soviet times,” she noted.

It is also worth mentioning that the Ministry of Health has already developed legislative initiatives stating that doctors will not be able to work in private medical institutions if they do not serve five years in state medical facilities.
