The Patrol Service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate was instructed to enhance road safety control during the holiday period and to intensify preventive measures to prevent driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations and local administrations were also directed to increase fire safety levels at venues with large crowds, while the municipal inspection was tasked with organizing measures to combat unauthorized trade, especially in areas with high foot traffic, following established norms and sanitary requirements.
About 600 police officers participated in the briefing, and 45 vehicles were involved. Throughout the New Year holidays, the police of the capital will operate in an enhanced mode.
