The incident occurred on the night of January 1 on the Bishkek–Torugart highway.
According to preliminary data, around 00:50, a resident of the village of Dmitrievka, a teenager N.A., born in 2010, was riding his bicycle towards the city of Kant. At that time, a truck was moving behind him, which, while overtaking, veered closer to the shoulder and struck the cyclist.
Unfortunately, the young man died at the scene from his injuries.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 312 of the Criminal Code, concerning violations of traffic safety rules and the operation of vehicles.
During the operational activities, it was established that the collision was caused by a red SHACMAN truck, driven by a citizen R.B., born in 1995, a resident of the village of Krasnaya-Rechka.
The detained individual was placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
