Due to expected precipitation in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan and on some highways, a storm warning has been issued.
According to Kyrgyz Hydrometeorology, from January 15 to 18, avalanches, snow drifts, ice, and snow accumulation are expected in the mountainous areas of the country and on the following sections of highways: Bishkek-Osh (121-138 km and 198-255 km), Ala-Buka-Kanysh-Kyya (68-74 km and 86-101 km), Krasnaya Gorka-Ak-Tash (0-3 km), Myrza-Ake-Kara-Kulja-Alaykuu (65-110 km), Karakol-Enilchek (45-90 km), as well as Balikchy-Kazarman-Jalal-Abad (326-349 km).
When traveling through avalanche-prone areas, drivers are advised to maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
