On January 12, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the registration of 19 fires in Kyrgyzstan over the course of a day. To extinguish them, 22 firefighting units were mobilized.
The most significant number of fires occurred in the Osh region, where 6 cases were recorded. In Bishkek, there were 4 fires, in Batken region — also 4, in Chui region — 2, and one case each in Issyk-Kul, Jalal-Abad, Naryn regions, and the city of Osh.
One of the incidents involved a fire on the roof of a 3-story kindergarten on Serafimovich Street, where the flames covered an area of 150 sq.m. Four firefighting teams participated in the extinguishing efforts.
In another case, on M. Frunze Street, plastic windows, a door, a wardrobe, and an electric stove burned on the balcony of an apartment in a multi-story building, covering an area of 5 sq.m.
On Kuliev Street, there was a fire involving dry grass and reeds in an open area of 120 sq.m.
Currently, the causes of the fires are being determined.
Additionally, one call-out of the rescue service was recorded during the day.
