On February 4, significant cooling is expected in the northern part of Mongolia, accompanied by strong winds.
The weather in most regions will be cloudy. Snowfall and blizzards are forecasted in the west and north of the western aimags, as well as in some parts of the central and eastern areas.
The wind direction will change from southwest to northwest, varying from 5 to 10 meters per second, and in some areas may reach 12-14 meters per second.
The air temperature around Lake Uvs, the Darhad Basin, and along the rivers Tes, Orkhon, Kharaa, and Yeruu will range from -23 to -28°C. In the basins of the rivers Zag-Baidrag, Ider, Eg, Uur, Selenge, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, Ulz, in the valley of the Khalkh River, and on the Dargin Steppe, the temperature will fluctuate between -17 and -22°C. In the Altai Mountains and the foothills of the Khangai Mountains, temperatures are expected to be between -5 and -10°C, while in the southeastern part of the Gobi, temperatures will range from +1 to -4°C. In other regions, the temperature will be between -16 and -18°C.
In Ulaanbaatar, cloudy weather with light snowfall is expected at night. During the day, the cloud cover will decrease, and precipitation will cease. The wind will change direction from southwest to northwest, with a speed of 5-10 meters per second. At night, the temperature in the Yarmag-Songin area is expected to be around -26 to -28°C, in other areas -21 to -23°C, and during the day the temperature will rise to -17 to -19°C.
