
The new season of the Top League of the Kyrgyzstan football championship has kicked off in Bishkek, with the first matches taking place at the National Academy of Football stadium of the KFS.
In the first match, the teams "Ilbirs" from Bishkek faced off against "Alaï" from Osh. The match ended in a 1:1 draw. The home team opened the scoring in the 1st minute: Ukrainian midfielder Taras Gevlich scored after a quick attack. In the second half, Uzbek forward Doniyor Ismailov equalized in the 66th minute, taking advantage of a cross from the flank. The best player of this match was Andrey Levkovets from "Ilbirs". The main referee was Erlanbek Osmonov.
In the second match, "Nefchi" from Kochkor-Ata lost to "Uzgen" with a score of 1:2. Akram Umarov opened the scoring in the 60th minute with an impressive shot following a corner kick. However, "Uzgen" quickly responded: in the 66th minute, Mikhail Titov, a forward for the Turkmenistan national team, equalized the score, and just three minutes later, Orkhan Aliyev set the final result by converting a one-on-one opportunity. The main referee of the match was Sanjar Jakypbekov.
The Karakol "Bars" remains the reigning champion of the country, and among the top teams from last season were also "Muras United," "Abdysh-Ata," "Dordoi," and "Alaï".
In the 2026 season, 16 teams are participating in the Top League, including newcomers: "Asia" from Talas and "Toktogul."
