In the Suzak district, a fire that broke out on a pipeline has been successfully extinguished. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Jalal-Abad region.
The incident occurred on January 4 in the village of Saddah on Siyarov Street, where the pipeline owned by OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz" is located.
Agency specialists reported that at 21:55, one unit of the district fire service was dispatched to extinguish the fire. At 22:30, an operational group led by Colonel Ch. Shekenov, head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Jalal-Abad region, arrived at the scene.
The fire was extinguished by 22:55, and its localization was achieved by 22:47. Preliminary estimates indicate that the area affected by the fire was about 100 square meters.
Currently, the causes of the fire are being investigated.
The firefighter featured in the video noted that a fire was recorded on the pipeline, which runs from Kochkor-Ata [OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz"] to ZAO "Kyrgyz Petroleum Company" in the city of Manas.
According to updated information, on December 28, 2025, a rupture occurred in the pipeline through which oil was being transported from OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz" to the city of Manas. On the same day, company specialists repaired the damage; however, during the repair work, oil spilled over an area of about 100 square meters.
According to some sources, on January 4, 2026, at 21:55, for unclear reasons, a fire broke out on the spilled oil. The flames engulfed the previously spilled oil on the underground section of the pipeline, but the spread of fire to other areas was avoided.
It is also reported that the spilled oil was not properly cleaned up after the repairs. According to preliminary information, the day before the fire, a group of minors may have ignited the spilled oil, which likely caused the fire.
