In the village of Ketmen-Töbö, located in the Kara-Kul district of the Jalal-Abad region, a two-story residential building with six apartments burned down on the night of December 31, reports Turmush correspondent.
According to preliminary information, the fire broke out around 00:10.
The house, built from wooden materials, was occupied by four families at the time of the incident. Fortunately, there was no threat to people's lives; however, according to residents, they were unable to save their belongings — all property was destroyed.
Local authorities arrived at the scene to discuss possible assistance measures with the residents.
The fire occurred in the two-story building No. 36, located on Kambar-Ata Street. Firefighters from unit No. 105 of the Kara-Kul city department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a team from the Toktogul district were dispatched to extinguish the fire.
Residents report that the likely cause of the fire was an issue with the electrical wiring.
