On January 1, 2026, early in the morning, employees of the sanitation department "Universal" began cleaning the streets of accumulated garbage in the area of the lower market of the city of Kara-Balta.
According to the workers, after the New Year celebrations, the area was littered with packaging waste and cardboard boxes left by street vendors who set up near the market.
The municipal workers noted that in just one night, from December 31 to January 1, an enormous amount of waste was collected, significantly exceeding the usual volumes. Several trips were needed for the special equipment to remove it.
