In the Chuy region, specifically in the Jayil district, local craftsmen have begun producing household tools that are quickly winning the hearts of local residents, reports Turmush correspondent.

“We started producing our first axes using Soviet technology and launched them on the market on December 18 of last year. Since Joseph Stalin was born on December 18, 1878, we decided to name our axe model ‘Stalin.’ The tool demonstrates excellent cutting abilities, easily handling iron with a thickness of two to five millimeters, which attracted the attention of buyers in the market. During our conversations, it became clear that people needed not only axes but also other tools. Some customers asked to see how the tool works, and upon seeing its capabilities, clarified exactly what they needed,” shared Sergey Dorokhin, the production organizer and seller from Kara-Balta.

Currently, three people are involved in the production process: a blacksmith who creates the blanks, a woodworker who makes the axe handles and handles for knives and sledgehammers, and Sergey, who is responsible for varnishing the handles, as well as studying the market and taking orders.

Local residents order not only axes but also utility knives, sledgehammers, heavy hammers, and crowbars. They are looking for tools that are durable and safe, taking into account their physical characteristics such as arm length, palm width, and overall strength.

“In response to customer requests, we decided to expand the range of ‘Stalin’ axes by adding three sizes: large, medium, and small. The same applies to utility knives—we have increased their model range,” the craftsmen reported.
