Elena Klinova, residing in Kara-Balta, has discovered the world of decorative and applied arts by creating unique souvenirs and decorations using epoxy resin. Despite her many years of experience as a baker and pastry chef, she has always wanted to engage in something creative.

In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, Elena shared that her passion for epoxy resin began after she saw the works of other artisans online. After ordering the necessary molds and materials via the internet, she started experimenting, creating keychains, Christmas ornaments, and souvenirs adorned with flowers, glitter, and seashells.

Elena initially gifted her first creations to friends and family, but soon they began to attract interest. In the lead-up to the New Year, Christmas ornaments in the shape of horses, symbolizing the upcoming year, became particularly popular. The range of products has expanded and now includes Zodiac signs, decorative sugar bowls, and New Year-themed decorations.

Klinova emphasizes that working with epoxy resin requires not only patience but also precision. This material is sensitive to moisture and contaminants, and any deviation from the technology can lead to defects. Nevertheless, carefulness allows for the preservation of natural elements within the transparent resin, making each item unique.

As Elena notes, epoxy resin products are currently at the peak of popularity and find applications not only in the souvenir sector but also in interior design—for creating panels, clocks, and furniture. With the right approach, such hobbies can become an additional source of income.
