Every city has its own style. New Year trees of Kyrgyzstan in details
This year, the New Year spirit in Kyrgyzstan manifested itself in various ways, but all cities adhered to a unified approach. Instead of expensive novelties, they chose traditional decorations, garlands, and decor that have already proven themselves. This choice not only preserved the festive atmosphere but also allowed for budget savings, demonstrating that a bright New Year is possible without significant expenses.

Tree in Bishkek: Minimalism and Style

In 2026, the main New Year tree of the capital of Kyrgyzstan moved to the northern side of Ala-Too Square. Mayor Aibek Junushaliev stated that this was done to increase the walking space. Now it has become more convenient to stroll here, and there are more places for family photos and festive events.

The tree was decorated wisely, without excessive embellishments: garlands, ornaments, and small architectural forms are familiar to the townspeople and have been used before, but in a new combination. The design is done in white and blue colors, reflecting the colors of the Bishkek coat of arms. The height of the tree is 35 meters, including the star on top, and it features about 7,000 ornaments and updated lighting, which is especially impressive in the evening. The ice rink and fair resulted from the work of entrepreneurs who took on the installation and decoration.

In Ala-Too Square, the courtyards and premises were also decorated.

Tree in Osh: Bright Colors of the Flag

The southern capital, Osh, installed its main New Year tree opposite the city hall. It was decorated with bright yellow and red balls of various sizes, which immediately create a festive mood for residents and guests.

The height of the tree is 30 meters.

Tree in Uzgen: Compact and Stylish

In Uzgen, the height of the New Year tree is 16 meters, located in Dostuk Park. 200,000 soms were allocated for its installation, which is three meters higher than last year.

In one of the city's districts, another tree appeared, but it faced criticism from social media users for its dull and outdated design.

Falling snow, bright illumination, and a festive tree created the atmosphere of a true winter celebration. People came with their families, took photos, and exchanged greetings for the upcoming holiday.

The tree, 22 meters tall, was decorated at a cost of 234,000 soms, and judging by the atmosphere, the funds invested were justified—the New Year spirit was fully present.

Tree in Naryn: Traditions and Innovations

According to the Naryn city hall, the height of the festive tree was 12 meters, and 47,000 soms were spent on its decoration.

“We have been decorating this tree for the seventh year in a row, but each time differently,” the city hall noted.

Tree in Talas: Two Events in One

A ceremonial opening of the central square after reconstruction took place in Talas, during which the main New Year tree was also lit.

The height of the Talas tree is 24 meters, and 640,000 soms were spent on its installation, with funds allocated from the local budget. The tree was purchased last year.

Tree in Kara-Balta: One, but Unique

In Kara-Balta, the New Year tree is 16 meters tall and is located in the main square of the city.

According to Mirbek Murataliev, the deputy head of the municipal enterprise "Universal," the tree was decorated with over 1,500 New Year ornaments and numerous garlands.

“Last year, about 2,000 ornaments were used for two trees, but this year, due to the absence of a second tree from the akimat, some decorations were transferred to the tree at the House of Culture. We also focused on decorating the sidewalks in the park using artificial fir branches, LED strips, and glowing icicles,” said Mirbek Murataliev.
