Starting from April 1 of next year, teachers and doctors will receive a 100 percent salary increase. This was announced by President Sadyr Japarov at the People's Kurultai.

“The Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev had previously announced a 50 percent increase. However, after reviewing the financial capabilities, we decided to raise the average salary by 100 percent, adding a presidential compensation payment of 15,000 soms,” he noted.

Currently, the salary of teachers is 26,000 soms, and starting from April 1, 2026, it will increase to 52,000. The average salary of doctors is currently 31,500 soms, and after the increase, it will reach 62,500 soms, with approximately 50,000 being received in hand.

Additionally, starting from April 1, there will be an average salary increase of 80 percent for technical and service personnel due to the introduction of a presidential compensation payment of 5,000 soms per position.

In connection with abuses, the State National Security Committee detained the akim of the Chui region, Ruslanbek Tagaev. Before his appointment as akim in March 2024, Ruslanbek Tagaev managed the Lenin district of Bishkek and was engaged in private business. Law enforcement agencies continue the investigation into the case.

It is expected that the new transport corridor will improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in the city center.
One-way traffic has been resumed on Toktogul and Kyiv streets in Bishkek on sections from Ibraimov Street to Erkindik Boulevard due to the opening of Chui Avenue after reconstruction.

A noteworthy murder occurred in Bishkek — a woman was shot by her ex-husband on her birthday. According to the police, a conflict arose between the ex-spouses, during which the man shot her six times. She died on the spot from gunshot wounds. The suspect has been detained, and it has been established that he was in a state of alcohol intoxication at the time of the crime. The deceased had previously reported domestic violence to law enforcement agencies.

The head of the State National Security Committee, Kamchybek Tashiev, also commented on the murder of the mother of three children, stating that what happened cannot be justified by “family conflict” or the state of alcohol intoxication.

“This is not a domestic quarrel — this is murder, especially when the victim is a woman and a mother,” he emphasized, adding that the state must protect women and children, and those who raise a hand or weapon against women must know that the responsibility will be severe and inevitable.
