On December 28, a celebration organized by the city administration for children took place in Bishkek, reports the city's administration.
The event was attended by Mayor Aibek Junushaliev, the Commissioner for Children's Rights of Kyrgyzstan Asel Chynbaeva, and Deputy Speaker of the Bishkek City Council Zhyldyzbek Abdrayimov.
Congratulating the young citizens on the upcoming New Year, Junushaliev emphasized the importance of the celebration for children.
About 3,000 children attended the Christmas tree event, including honor students, active participants in school activities, winners of competitions at the city and national levels, as well as children from large and socially vulnerable families.
A festive program was prepared for the young guests, featuring a New Year theatrical performance titled "The 7 Wonders of Kyrgyzstan."
